24x30 acrylic and modeling paste on gallery wrapped canvas

This piece was inspired by the first time I walked down 18 at Pebble Beach when I was 15 years old. I remember looking out at the Pacific and feeling completely overwhelmed by beauty, by gratitude, and by the magnitude of the dream I was living. I actually cried.

Influenced in part by Werner Bronkhorst’s perspective and scale, I wanted the figures to feel small against something vast — the ocean, the moment, the calling. The textures, movement and bits of gold mirror how that walk felt: emotional, powerful, and magical.
