I took the reference photo during the practice round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, and I have been excited to paint it since!  I wanted to capture the feeling of the scene, and I felt that the bold brush strokes and vibrant colors give Rae’s Creek a dreamy, almost magical feel.
